SERIES
This will be the ninth time these two teams have squared off, with the series tied 4-4. The Bulldogs earned the last two victories, winning on Dec. 13, 2022, in Orangeburg, S.C., 94-84, and winning on Dec. 5, 2020, in Kimmel Arena 77-56. These two teams first met during the 1970-71 season, and the Bulldogs won 99-90. 
The Matchup: SC State enters Monday's contest after falling to Pittsburgh 86-50. SCSU scoring leader is Davion Everett, who averages 10.4 points per game and leads the team with 7.2 rebounds. Mitchell Taylor leads with 31 assists and is second in the scoring column with 9.2 points per game.

The matchup will be Asheville's first game in Kimmel since Dec. 1, as the Bulldogs have been on the road for their last three games. The Bulldogs' final road contest was a neutral site game against Auburn on Wednesday, Dec. 13, in Huntsville, Ala., where Asheville fell 87-62. 

Drew Pember leads Asheville's offense, averaging 18.6 points per game, and leads the team with 6.7 rebounds per game and 17 blocks.
