ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's basketball team jumped out to an 0-2 start after suffering a pair of losses on the road this past week.
SC State (0-2 overall, 0-0 MEAC) dropped their season-opener 48-108 to the University of Utah Thursday (Nov. 9
th) in Salt Lake City, UT. Cassandra Colon led the way with a team-high 12 points, while Taniya McGown added 10 in the loss.
Meanwhile, battled UNC-Greensboro on Saturday (Nov. 11
th) which resulted in an 30-61 defeat in Greensboro, NC.
Jordan Releford led the way with six points.
UP NEXT: South Carolina State will host Coastal Carolina for their season home opener on November 15. Tip-off is slated for 6:30 pm inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
