ORANGEBURG, SC—Freshman guard T.J. Madlock tossed in a team-high 20 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead South Carolina State to an, 74-68, win over visiting North Carolina Central Monday (Feb. 7^th) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

Rahsaan Edwards added 17, Edward Oliver-Hampton finished with 12 points and seven (7) rebounds while Omar Croskey chipped in 11 in the win.

South Carolina State led in several categories on the day including points in the paint (34-32), bench points (22-10) and rebounds (31-30).

The Bulldogs improved to 12-11 overall, 4-3 in the MEAC, while NCCU falls to 10-11 overall, 4-2 in the league.

NCCU was led by Eric Boone with a game-high 28 points and eight rebounds.

UP Next for SC State
South Carolina State will resume league play on the road in a rematch with Coppin State on Saturday (Feb.12^th) and Morgan State on Monday (Feb.14th) in Baltimore, MD.
