BALTIMORE –The South Carolina State men's basketball team look to avenge a pair of early season losses when they travel to Baltimore, MD take on Coppin State on Saturday (Feb.12^th) at  4 p.m, followed by Morgan State on Monday (Feb. 14^th) at 7:30 p.m.
 
THE SERIES: Coppin State leads the series 11-8 in the last 19 meetings. The Eagles won the last meeting 74-65 on Jan. 8^th in Orangeburg, SC.

Coppin State (5-17 overall, 4-3 MEAC) has three Eagles in double-figures with Jesse Zarzuela (14.6 ppg) leading the way, followed by Tyree Corbett (14.5 points) and Nendah Tarke with 13.1 points. Corbett is the leader on the boards at 6.3.

THE SERIES versus Morgan State: The Bears lead the series 11-6 over the Bulldogs in the last 17 meetings. Morgan State won the last meeting 88-81 in overtime in Orangeburg on Jan. 10^th.

Morgan State (7-11 overall, 2-4 MEAC) is led by De'Torrion Ware with 11.2 points and Keith McGee with 11.1, while teammate Lagio Grantsaan adds 9.5 per contest. Ware is the leader on the boards at 4.4.

Scouting South Carolina State
The Bulldogs are one of the top rebounding teams in the Nation with 42.3 rebounds per game and outrebounding their opponents by 5.6 per game.  TJ Madlock and Cameron Jones are the top scorers at 12 and 11 points per game, respectively, but eight others average at least six points for a well-balanced offense.  Jemal Davis and Omar Croskey average close to nine points apiece. With Madlock and Rahsaan Edwards acting as primary ball-handlers, Deaquan Williams and Edward Oliver-Hampton both average six rebounds per game.

Up Next: South Carolina State returns back home for the final two-game home stretch of the regular season to take on Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday in the second of a double-header beginning at 4p.m., followed by a showdown with Delaware State 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
