ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's and women's basketball look to turn things around Monday (Jan. 31^st), when they host visiting Howard University at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

SERIES: The Bulldogs lead the series 6-4 after 10 meetings between the two schools. The Bison won their last meeting 63-70 on March 10^th, 2020, in Norfolk, VA. Meanwhile on the women side, the Lady Bison lead the series 6-8 in their last 14 meetings. Howard won the last meeting 79-72 on March 10^th, 2020, in Norfolk, VA.

LAST TIMEOUT: Both team suffered setbacks against top-ranked Norfolk State on Saturday. On the men's side the Bulldogs fell 87-69 to the Spartans, while the Lady Bulldogs dropped and 60-40 decision  the Lady Spartans .

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS: SC State (10-11,2-3 MEAC) is averaging 74.2 points per game as a team; 42.9 rebounds; 7.4 steals and 3.4 blocks.

SCOUTING THE  LADY BULLDOGS: SC State (3-15, 3-1 MEAC) is averaging 48.9 points per game as a team; 36.7 rebounds; 6.2 steals and 4.6 blocks.

UP Next for SC State
South Carolina State women will return back to the court on Saturday (Feb. 5^th) versus Coppin State at 2 p.m., followed by a matchup  with Morgan State on Monday (Feb. 7^th) at 5:30 p.m. at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. The men return back to action on Monday (Feb. 7^th) in the second game of a doubleheader versus NC Central in a 7:30 p.m. showdown.
