ORANGEBURG, SC—South Carolina State defensive back Decobie Durant was named Tuesday to the 2021 BoxToRow HBCU Preseason Spring All-America Team, the organization announced.

Durant, a redshirt senior, started all games at defensive back for the Bulldogs in 2019, earning first team All-MEAC recognition. Durant finished sixth(6^th) on the team in tackles and led SC State with three (3) interceptions (3^rd in MEAC) on the season, along with 35 tackles (32 solo), four (4) tackles for loss ,12 pass breakups, 15 pass deflects (1^st MEAC) and one forced fumble.
