CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina State men's basketball team will participate in the Cobb Dill & Hammett Classic on Dec. 20^th -21. South Carolina State will face host The Citadel in the first contest on Monday (Dec. 20^th) at 5 p.m., then Charleston Southern Tuesday (Dec. 21^st) at 5 p.m.

HISTORY WITH SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
The Citadel and South Carolina State are meeting for the 13th time overall, and the second time this season. The Citadel holds a 9-3 advantage in the series, including a 5-1 mark in McAlister Field House. Prior to this season, the teams had not met since playing in Las Vegas in 2010.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
South Carolina State enters the game with a record of 5-8. The Bulldogs have won four of their last five games, including a thrilling 90-88 win over Tennessee State on Saturday. Cameron Jones leads the way at 11.2 points per game, while TJ Madlock is second with 10.1 points and 4.8 rebounds., Edward Hampton-Oliver and Dequan Williams are pulling down a team-high 6.3 rebounds.

EARLIER THIS SEASON
The two teams met with The Citadel coming away with an 79-91 overtime victory over South Carolina State in Orangeburg, SC. Jones finished with a team-high 20 points.

The Citadel opens Southern Conference action on Dec. 29 as it plays host to Mercer. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
