Mekayla Lumpkin tossed in a team-high 15 points connecting 3-of-3 from behind the 3-point line, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State dropped a tough, 61-52, decision to Western Carolina Sunday (Dec. 12
th) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
Nadia Reese and
Shania Wright both finished with eight points respectfully in the loss.
Victoria Jordan grabbed a team-high eight rebounds on the day.
Western Carolina was led by Endia Holliday with a game-high 21 points in the win.

South Carolina State will hit the road to take on Wake Forest on Wednesday, Dec. 15th , before heading to play in the Mississippi State Tournament Dec. 18
th-20
th in Starkville, MS.
