Jahmari Etienne tossed in a team-high 14 points connecting 3-of-8 from behind the arc, as the Bulldogs fell short 73-62 of defeating top-ranked Norfolk State Saturday (Jan. 25
th ) at Echols Hall.
South Carolina State falls to 9-9 overall, 4-2 in MEAC, while Norfolk State improves to 9-11 overall, 5-0 in the league.
Next up South Carolina State will host Bethune-Cookman Monday (Jan. 27
th) in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) doubleheader with the women beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men in a 7:30 p.m. start.
