Zeleria Simpson tossed in a team-high 13 points, while teammate junior guard
Jacquece Alston added 12 points and five rebounds but it wasn't enough as SC State suffered a 78-47 setback to Howard Monday (Jan. 13
th) at Burr Gymnasium.

Heniaya Moton the Washington, DC native finished with eight points in the loss.
Howard was led by Jayla Thorton with 14 points in the win.
South Carolina State returns to action on Saturday (Jan. 18
th) when they host Florida A&M in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) showdown at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tip-off is 2 p.m.
