WASHINGTON, DC—The South Carolina State men's and women's basketball teams return to action on Monday (Jan. 13
th) on the road in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) versus the Bison of Howard University at Burr Gymnasium.
Tip-off for the women's contest is 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's game in a 7:30 p.m. start.
The Lady Bulldogs (2-12 overall, 1-1 MEAC) will embark on their third straight road MEAC contest against the Bison (9-7 overall, 1-2 MEAC). In their last outing the women split a pair of games with a 71-60 win over Coppin State and an 47-77 loss to Morgan State on last week.

Audra Smith team is led by junior guard
Heniaya Moton the Washington, DC native with 11.4 points and 3.4 rebounds, while teammate
Jacquece Alston adds 8.9 points and 5.3 boards.
Howard has three players in double figures with Ayonna Williams leading the way with 14.2 points and 5.1 rebounds, while Sarah Edmond adds 13.9 points and 3.6 rpg and Jayla Thorton chips in 13.5.
On the men side, the Bulldogs (6-8 overall, 1-1 MEAC) look to bounce back after a tough 63-77 road loss to Morgan State in their last outing. All-MEAC senior forward
Damani Applewhite is the leading scorer with 13.5 points and 6.7 rebounds.
The Bulldogs get help from key reserves graduate forward
Tashombe Riley with 9.8 points and 4.0 rebounds. Riley needs just (929) 71 points to reach the 1,000-career plateau in school history.

Rayshawn Neal adds a little over 8.5 points each per contest.
Howard (2-15 overall, 0-3 MEAC) men are led by senior guard Charles Williams at 18.1 points and 4.1 rebounds, along with Wayne Bristol with 10.9 ppg and 4.0 rpg.
South Carolina State will return to action at home versus Florida A&M in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) doubleheader beginning with the women's contest at 2 p.m., followed by the men's in a 4 p.m. showdown.
A special presentation from the MEAC Commissioner Dr. Dennis Thomas to the South Carolina State Football team will be half-time of the men's contest.
