th) on the road versus North Carolina Central at the McDougald-McLendon Arena. Tip-off is 4 p.m.
In their last outing the Lady Bulldogs (13-14 overall, 6-7 MEAC) suffered and tough setback to top-ranked the N.C. A&T State Lady Aggies 59-52 at Corbett Sports Complex. Senior guard
Rhein Beamon led the way with a team-high 14 points, while teammate
Taylor Brown added 12 and eight rebounds in the loss.
Brown averages 13.9 and 8.7 rebounds, while Beamon is second with 11.0 points and 4.4 boards per contest.
Meanwhile NCCU (8-19 overall, 5-9 MEAC), knocked off Savannah State 77-65 at home. Rodneysha Martin finished with 20 point and Afriyie Paulina grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds in the win.
Martin and Paulina leads the way for the Lady Eagles averaging a little over 13.3 points respectively, while Paulina is the leader on the boards with 9.4.
South Carolina State returns to action against Bethune-Cookman Saturday (March.2
nd) on the road at Moore Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
