ORANGEBURG, SC-The South Carolina State men's basketball complete a season sweep over Morgan State, 85-81, Saturday during "Coming Home 2019" at Smith-Hammond- Middleton Memorial Center.
South Carolina State knocked off Morgan State, 72-68, earlier this season in Baltimore, MD, and (Jan. 12, 2019).

Damani Applewhite finished with a team-high 21 points, while junior guard
Lavar Harewood added 19 and senior point guard Jani Raynor-Powell 15 in the win.
"It feels good to get a big win like this over a well-coached Morgan State team in front of a great crowd filled with screaming alums and loyal bulldog fans, "said SC State head coach
Murray Garvin. "I want to thank the administration and especially the fans for supporting us. We will enjoy this for a little while and get ready for a tough Coppin State team on Monday."
South Carolina State dominated pretty much in every category including rebounding (28-24), points in the paint (34-34), points off turnover (26-13), second chance points (10-6) and fast break points (10-5).
Junior forward Ozante Field and freshman guard Allen Hatchet, Jr. both finished with eight points (8) each, while Fields grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
South Carolina State returns to action on Monday (Feb. 11
th) when they host Coppin State in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) doubleheader, beginning with the women in a 5:30 p.m. start, followed by the men in a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.
