CHARLESTON, SC—South Carolina State men's basketball return to action on Saturday (Dec. 21^st ) when they take on intrastate rival the Cougars of the College of Charleston in a 4 p.m. contest at TD Arena.

The Bulldogs (4-6) look to rebound after a tough 70-73 loss to USC-Upstate on Wednesday (Dec. 19^th) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Senior forward Damani Applewhite finished with a team-high 16 points in the loss.

Meanwhile, the Cougars suffered an 71-76 defeat to VCU in their last outing.

Next up South Carolina State hits the road to take on Jacksonville University in a non-conference matchup to close the new year on Monday, Dec. 30^th in a 7 p.m. showdown.
