MEMPHIS, Tenn. —The nation's top-rated recruit, James Wiseman recorded a double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 14 Memphis (1-0) to an 97-64 victory over South Carolina State Tuesday (Nov.5
th) night at FedEx Forum.
South Carolina State (0-1) was led by senior forward
Ian Kinard with a team-high 13 points and
Jahmari Etienne with 11.
Sophomore guard
Rayshawn Neal chipped in eight along with
Tariq Simmons and
Rahsaan Edwards with seven each in the loss.
BIG PICTURE: : It's doubtful the Bulldogs will face as tough a challenge as they did in the season opener. No other teams on South Carolina State's schedule are in the Top 25. The Bulldogs, a member of the MEAC, are picked fifth in the conference preseason poll.
