SAVANNAH, GA—The South Carolina State men's and women's basketball teams look to bounce back when they hit the road to take on Savannah State Saturday (Jan. 26
th) at the Tiger Arena.
The women's game tips off at 4 p.m. while the men's contest will follow around 6 p.m.

In their last outing, the Bulldogs dropped an tough 69-74 decision to Norfolk State, while the Lady Bulldogs fell short 50-57 to the Lady Spartans on Monday (Jan. 21
st ) in Orangeburg, SC.
Meanwhile the SSU women fell to Norfolk State 78-42 on January 19, NSU men rallied to beat Savannah State 82-76.
South Carolina State women (9-9, 2-3 MEAC) has a trio of players who average in double figures in
Taylor Brown (13.7),
Rhein Beamon (10.6) and
Kemoni Jenkins (10.5). Brown also averages 8.9 rebounds per game.
Savannah State (4-14, 1-3 MEAC) is led by juniors Daquan Dotson and
Zach Sellers who contributed 13.1 and 11.9 points per game respectively. Sellers adds 4.9 assists per game while
Tyrell Harper chips in a team-leading 6.6 rebounds per contest.
The Bulldogs (4-17, 2-3 MEAC) offense is anchored by 6-foot-8 junior
Damani Applewhite who averages 17.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
Janai Raynor-Powell scores 10.1 points per game.
