ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State football team held its annual Pro Timing Day, but this year it was at a different venue.
Eight (8) former Bulldog players showcased their skills for NFL scouts Tuesday (March.20
th) at the Gamecock Indoor Football Facility in Columbia, SC. The event was moved due to
threat of thunderstorms and heavy rain.
All thirty-two (32) teams of the National Football League (NFL) were represented, as they measured, watched and critiqued the Bulldogs as they went through various drills.
Some of the notable former SC State players who participated in Pro Day drills were All-American linebacker
Darius Leonard, offensive lineman
Justin Evans, linebacker

Jason Baxter.
The day started in the weight room, where players were measured for height, weight, hand width, arm length and wing span. Each player were tested on standing broad jump and vertical jump before rounding out with reps on the bench press at 225 pounds.
The scouts then moved the event to the Gamecock Indoor Facility where the players were timed in the 40-yard dash, the three cone drill and the shuffle run before wrapping up the day with individual position drills.
