ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State women will be trying to snap a two-game losing streak Saturday when they travel to Savannah, GA to meet Savannah State in the first game of a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader, beginning at 4 p.m.
Coach Doug Robertson's team, 7-13 overall and 2-6 in the MEAC, is coming off a 65-55 loss at Morgan State Monday. The Lady Bulldogs last tasted victory Jan. 22 with a 78-70 home upset of Hampton, snapping a 13-game losing streak to the Lady Pirates.
Guard
Bryeasha Blair paces the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with a 13.8 average, while forward Jasmine Williams is the top rebounder with 6.8 boards per game.
The host Lady Tigers, 3-16 and 1-7 in the league, snapped a 12-game losing streak Monday with a 65-47 victory at Florida A&M.
Savannah State will be paced by Kaylee Allen with a 15.6 scoring average and Alexus Lessears with a 9.2 rebounding mark.
