CCU Down Lady Bulldogs 57-44

CONWAY, SC—Senior guard Rhein Beamon tossed in a team-high 15 points, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State fell short, 57-44, to Coastal Carolina on Tuesday (Nov. 13th) at HTC Arena.

Senior guard's Ester Udonsi and Jakayvea Akins each added eight points, while forward Dashanique Peterson grabbed seven rebounds and Beamon and Kyesha Lewis six each respectively in the loss.

South Carolina State led in several categories including points off turnovers (21-15), blocks (5-4), and assist (13), and offensive rebounds 20-6.

South Carolina State returns to action at home against Charleston Southern in a non-conference matchup at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.Tipoff is 6 p.m.
