ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's basketball team look to rebound against Maryland Eastern Shore Monday (Jan.15
th) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m.
In their last outing the Lady Bulldogs (5-10 overall, 0-3 MEAC) dropped a tough, 68-58, decision to Howard Saturday at home.
Bryeasha Blair had 17 points, 12 in the opening half, to lead SC State, which also got 10 points each from Kemoni Jenkins and Jaquanna Murray. Jenkins and Kerry Watson had seven rebounds each to lead Coach Doug Robertson's team on the boards.
Blair is the leader for the Lady Bulldogs averaging 12.9 point per outing, while Jenkins and Kyesha Lewis chips in a little over 10.3 ppg.
Meanwhile, Maryland Eastern Shore (4-12, 1-3 MEAC) is coming off an impressive 68-56 win over Savannah State. Alexus Hicks led the way with 16 points for the Hawks.
Ciani Byrom and Bairesha Gill-Miles are the leaders for Maryland Eastern Shore with a little over 10.7 point per game.
