ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State women's basketball team return home to host visiting Norfolk State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader Saturday (Feb. 4) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is 2 p.m. for the women, with the men following in a 4 p.m. start.

South Carolina State (5-14 overall, 2-6 in the league) in their last outing suffered a 57-75 defeat to Howard at the Burr Gymnasium. Meanwhile, Norfolk State (11-9 overall, 6-2 in the MEAC) is currently ranked 3
rd in the league standing under first-year head coach Larry Vickers.
NSU knocked off North Carolina A&T in their last outing 69-53. NSU is led by Kayla Roberts with 13.1 ppg, while Jordan Strode adds 12.5 points per outing. Roberts is the leader on the boards with 9.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks. Strode controls the tempo on the floor with 2.9 assist per game.
SC State returns to action on Monday (Feb.6) at home against the visiting Lady Pirates of Hampton at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m.
