CHARLESTON, SC—The South Carolina State men's basketball will embark on a two-game road trip before closing on the 2017 season for the Holiday break.

South Carolina State's first stop will be in neighboring Charleston, SC to take on the Cougars of College of Tuesday (Dec.19^th ) before leaving for their second stop on Dec. 21^st at UCF in Orlando, Florida.

In their last outing the Bulldogs posted impressive victories over Charleston Southern (91-88) and Jacksonville (83-74) at home to improve to 4-1 at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

Donte Wright is on fire this season for the Bulldogs averaging 18.5 in the last two outings this season. He is also the leads the team in scoring at 15.2 ppg, while sophomore forward Damani Applewhite is second with 11.5 points and 6.6 rebounds on the season.

Meanwhile, College of Charleston look to bounce back after falling to Rhode Island 62-68.

The Cougars have two players in double-figures with Joe Chealey leading the way with 18.4, along with Grant Riller adding 14.6 points per outing. Cameron Johnson chips in 9.9 and Nick Harris is the leader on the boards with 6.9.
