ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's basketball team will host Charleston Southern Tuesday (Dec.12th ) in a midday showdown, beginning at 1 p.m. at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
Tuesday's matinee will be CSU's first matchup with the Bulldogs in almost 18 years.
LAST TIMEOUT: The Bulldogs suffered a 101-72 defeat to Furman on Saturday. Sophomore guard Justin Jones led the way with a game-high 19 points, while Donte Wright added 15 in the loss.
Meanwhile, Charleston Southern (4-3) look to turn things around after dropping a 76-68 decision to VMI. Christian Keeling led the Bucs with a game-high 23 points, while Ty Jones chipped in 11.
Wright is the leads the team in scoring with 14.7 points per game. Sophomore forward Damani Applewhite chips 11.3 points and 6.4 rebounds.
The Bucs are led by Christian Keeling with 15.3 points and Travis McConnico with 13.0 points and 6.4 rebounds, while Phlandrous Fleming adds 10.7 points and 4.9 rebounds.
