MBB: Bulldogs Hit The Road To Take On NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. – The South Carolina State men's basketball team hit the road this weekend to take on ACC foe the Wolfpack of North Carolina State in a non-conference matchup Saturday (Dec. 2nd) inside the PNC Arena. Tipoff is 12 noon.
 
The game will be televised locally on FOX Sports South and can also be seen on ESPN3.

Saturday's game will be NC State's annual Coca-Cola Toys for Tots collection game. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. for the game and fans are encouraged to bring unwrapped, new toys valued at five dollars or more to the game to donate.

 THE SERIES 
-  Saturday's meeting marks the 3rd meeting all-time between the two programs.
-  The Pack leads the all-time series 2-0. The two programs met previously in the 1997-98 season and 2007-08 season.
-  The Pack has an all-time record of 29-1 against teams from the MEAC.

BULLDOG BITES
-SC State defeated Morris College 100-91 in their last outing at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center Tuesday night.
-Sophomore forward Damani Applewhite led the way with a game-high 27 points and 10 rebounds. Applewhite shot a career-best 12-of-13 from the field.
-Senior guard James Richardson added a season-high 23 points, while graduate guard Donte Wright finished with 15 and Ty Solomon chipped in 11 in the victory.
 
PACK TRACKS
- NC State defeated Penn State, 85-78, in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge on Wednesday night.
-The Wolfpack has four players in double-figures with Allerik Freeman leading the way with 16.0 points per outing. Torin Dorn, Lennard Freeman and Omer Yurtseven all chip in a little over 12.1 points each.
-North Carolina State looks to improve to 7-2 overall with a win over the Bulldogs.
-The Pack is averaging close to 81.8 points, 36.9 rebounds, 8.9 steals and 4.1 blocks per game.
 
NEXT UP: South Carolina State will travel to Clinton, SC to take on Presbyterian in a non-conference matchup Tuesday (Dec.5th) in a 7 p.m. tipoff.
