NEW HAVEN, CT—The South Carolina State men's basketball team will resume play Tuesday (Nov. 14th) when they play the third game of a four-game road trip against Yale University at Payne Whitney Gym: John J. Lee Amphitheater. Tipoff is 7 p.m. (ET)

SOUTH CAROLINA STATE NOTES
    *This is the third game of a 9-day road trip for the South Carolina State. The Bulldogs have made stops in Madison, WI (University of Wisconsin), Chestnut Hill, MA (Boston College), New Haven, CT (Yale) and will wrap things up in Los Angeles, CA (UCLA).
    *This is the first meeting between the two schools.
    *SC State was picked seventh (7th) in the Preseason MEAC Poll.
    *Bulldogs welcome (6) newcomers and return seven letter winners to this year's squad.
    *Bulldogs are without almost 4,000-points from last year's team with the departure of seniors Eric Eaves, Ed Stephens, Greg Mortimer and senior captain Tashombe Riley who suffered a preseason injury that sideline him for the season.
    *Graduate guard Donte Wright scored a team-high 13 points in the season-opener loss to Wisconsin, while Janai Raynor Powell toss in nine points in the bench against Boston College.
 

SCOUTING YALE

    *Yale is coming off a highly successful last season, winning 18 games and advancing to the Ivy League Tournament Championship.
    *Over the last five season, the Bulldogs are 50-14 at home in Lee Amphitheater. Yale had a 22-game home winning streak, which was the fifth longest in the nation.
    *Bulldogs are led by junior Blake Reynolds who is averaging 16.0 points in the last two games, while shooting 50% (6-of-12) from three-point range. Freshman Paul Atkinson is providing some solid minutes in his first two career starts with 8.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.

        *On Friday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. (PT)/9 p.m. (ET). South Carolina State will travel to the west coast to take on UCLA in a non-conference showdown.
