Week# 4 Game Notes vs. FAMU
TALLAHASSEE, FL—The South Carolina State Bulldogs will hit the road for its fourth straight contest when they travel to the sunshine state, to take on Florida A&M in their Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opener Saturday (Sept.24) at Bragg Stadium. Kickoff is 6 p.m.

The Bulldogs (0-3) are coming off a tough 59-0 loss to 5^th ranked Clemson in Death Valley, while Florida A&M (0-3) dropped a tough 20-17 decision to Tuskegee in Mobile, Alabama.

South Carolina State leads the series 12-1 under the Pough era. The last loss to FAMU was in 2011 (24-27) in Orangeburg, SC.

All-MEAC and Preseason All-American redshirt junior linebacker Darius Leonard leads the charge on defense with 43 tackles. Leonard recorded a game-high 19 tackles in the Bulldogs loss to Clemson. For his efforts he was named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week, for the second time this season and was also named to STATS FCS National Defensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention.

Sophomore quarterback Caleb York controls the offense throwing 37-of-88 for 325 yard/ 108.33 ypg and two touchdowns. Junior punter Jerome Pettiway leads the way on special teams with 27 punts for 1,084 yards (40.15 yards per punt), two (2) touchbacks and three (3) inside the 20.
