ORLANDO, FLA—South Carolina State will open the 2016 campaign on the road Saturday (Sept.3) against University of Central Florida at Bright House Networks Stadium (44,206) in Orlando, Fla. Kickoff is 7 p.m. and will televised live on ESPN3.
Pough, who is entering his 15
th season at the helm and is the second winningest coach in Bulldog history with a career record 112-51 and six Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championships (2004, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014) during his tenure.
Last season SC State finished the season at 7-4 overall, 6-2 in the MEAC. During the preseason nine (9) Bulldogs were named to the 2016 Preseason All-MEAC Team, including SC State being picked fourth (4
th) in the conference preseason poll.

Darius Leonard was named Preseason MEAC Defensive Player of the Year, while also earning All-MEAC First Team honors.
