Box Score ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Morgan State women's basketball team posted a 62-53 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference win over South Carolina State on Monday night at the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
Toni Grier had a team-high 15 points for SC State (9-12, 5-6 MEAC), while
Brittany Drumgoole had 10 points and a team-high-tying seven rebounds.
Jasmine Coleman added seven boards, four points, two assists and a block.
The Lady Bulldogs got off to a fast start and led 17-7 after the first quarter, but Morgan State (10-12, 8-2 MEAC) exploded for 21 points in the second quarter and took a 28-26 lead into halftime.
The Lady Bears outscored SC State 34-30 in the final two periods to win their 10
th game of the season.
Braennan Farrar led Morgan State with 17 points and Zuri White had a game-high 13 rebounds.
The Lady Bulldogs host Savannah State at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Seniors
Jazzmine Johnson,
Amber Howard, Grier and Coleman will be honored in the Senior Day Ceremony in between the men's and women's games.
