Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga. – Kenyata Hendrix had a game-high 18 points to lead the Savannah State women's basketball team to a 62-39 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference win over South Carolina State on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Arena.
SC State (11-14, 7-8 MEAC) was led in scoring by
Brittany Drumgoole with nine points.
Ashleigh Outler and
Amber Howard each had seven points, while
Jasmine Coleman finished with 14 rebounds and a career-high seven blocks.
Taylor-Ashley Shaw also scored in double figures for Savannah State (9-16, 6-8 MEAC) with 11 points. Tiyonda Davis tallied seven points, 14 rebounds and four blocks.
The Lady Bulldogs return to the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center on Thursday night for the regular-season finale against Bethune-Cookman. Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m.
SC State will be celebrating Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night and Senior Night for the Bulldog track teams. Additionally, the athletes who were named to the Athletics Director's Honor Roll will be recognized during halftime of both games. The male athletes will be honored during the women's game and the female athletes will be recognized during the men's game.
