SC State Versus Bethune-Cookman Game Rescheduled

NORFOLK, Va. – The South Carolina State versus Bethune-Cookman football contest, originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8, has been rescheduled to Saturday, Nov. 26.

The game was postponed due to the weather threat posed by Hurricane Matthew and the State of Emergency issued by the state of South Carolina.

Kickoff time will be announced at a later date.

"I would like to commend the officials from the four institutions affected by Hurricane Matthew for working together to facilitate the change in dates," said MEAC Commissioner Dr. Dennis E. Thomas. "Our top priority is the well-being and safety of the student-athletes, coaches, athletic staff, ancillary units and our fans."

Savannah State and Morgan State was rescheduled to Nov. 26 due to Hurricane Matthew as well.
