ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State men's basketball team will resume play as they host the visiting Eagles of North Carolina Central in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader Saturday (Jan.9) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tipoff is 4 p.m., immediately following the women's contest in a 2 p.m. start.
Fans who cannot attend the game in the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center, can listen to the MEAC showdown on 93.7 FM the People's Station and the official station of SC State Athletics, with Paul Harris on the air for the play-by-play. There will be no video or live stats available.

Darryl Palmer is the leader on the boards with 5.8 and scoring 8.1 per game. SC State is grabbing almost 33.1 rebounds a game, while forcing over 13.5 turnovers.
NC Central (6-9, 1-1) is coming off a 78-70 win over Johnson & Wales University. The Eagles last season's MEAC Regular Season Champions and is the favorite to repeat this year is ranked among the league in several categories including scoring defense 69.9 *(1

st) just to name a few. NCCU has four players in double digits with Patrick Cole averaging 14.0 points and 3.4 rebounds. Teammates Dante Ingram adds 12.7 ppg, and grabs 4.7 rebounds, along with Jeremiah Ingram with 11.9 and a team-high 7.3 rebounds. DaJuan Graf rounds out the scores with 10.1 points.
