Javon Hargrave and tight end
Temarrick Hemingway have been voted to the 2015 SBN Black College All-American Team, the American Urban Radio Networks has announced.
HARGRAVE (6-2 295, Sr., Salisbury, NC) --2015 SBN/Mel Blount Defensive Player of the Year Hargrave was the 2014 SBN Sports Mel Blount Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) for a second straight year. In eleven games he had 43 solo tackles, 16 assists and 13.5 sacks. He was fifth in the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) in tackles for loss, had 11 quarterback hurries and 2 forced fumbles. Hargrave a Sports Communications major earned his fifth (5
th) All-American Honor during the postseason.
HEMINGWAY (6-5, 210, Gr., Loris, SC) –finished the season with 38 catches for 418 yards and a touchdown. He earned First Team All-MEAC Honors, along with be ranked among the top tight ends in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Hemingway earned his undergraduate degree in Business Management in May of 2015 is now in graduate school pursing his MBA.
SBN's 2015 Black College National Championship Team, the 2015 SBN Sports Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year, the 2015 SBN Sports Doug Williams Offensive Player of the Year and the 2015 SBN Sports Mel Blount Defensive Player of the Year will be recognized on March 19, 2016 during the enshrinement ceremony for the Black College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2016, to be held at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia.
