Jasmine Coleman added 10 and a game-high 14 rebounds to lead SC State to a 61-48 triumph over Delaware State Saturday in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference contest.

Brittany Drumgoole added eight points each in the victory, which lifted the Lady Bulldogs to 7-8 overall and 3-2 in the league.
Jahmia Bradley had eight rebounds to go with four points, and Grier and freshman
JaQuanna Murray grabbed seven boards each for SC State, which enjoyed a huge 58-29 edge on the boards.
Redshirt senior Amber Bogard, who poured in a game-high 19 points, was the only Lady Hornet in double figures. Freshman NaJai Pollard added eight points, while Bobbi Floyd and Mikah Aldridge chipped in seven each in the loss, which dropped Delaware State to 4-12 and 1-2 in the MEAC. Floyd, who came off the bench, has six rebounds to lead the Lady Hornets on the glass.
SC State broke open a close game with an 18-4 second period, which put Coach Doug Robertson's team ahead 30-19 at the break. The visitors led 15-12 after the opening period and both teams scored 13 points in the third period, which ended with the Lady Bulldogs on top 43-32.
The Lady Hornets, who closed the gap to eight points – 50-42 – on a 3-pointer by Bri Justice with 5:17 to play, were outscored 18-16 by the Lady Bulldogs in the final period.
The SC State women return to the court Monday when they host Maryland Eastern Shore in a league doubleheader, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
