SAVANNAH , GA—The South Carolina State men's basketball team will look to turn things around, when they hit the road to take on host Savannah State in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic showdown Saturday (Feb.14) at Tiger Arena.
Tipoff for the women's contest is 4 p.m., with the men following immediately afterwards in the 6 p.m. start.

th place in the league with Hampton. Meanwhile, the Tigers are 6-17 overall, 2-7 in the league and currently hold the 12
th spot in the MEAC.
South Carolina State also tally nearly seven steals per game while forcing almost 13 turnovers. Freshman guard
Edward Stephens leads the way in scoring with 12.3 points, while sophomore guard
Greg Mortimer chips 8.5 ppg and
Karon Wright 7.6. Junior forward
Darryl Palmer is the leader on the board with 7.9 rebounds, 7.2 points and 2.2 blocks per game.
Meanwhile, SSU is led by guard Terel Hall with 10.2 ppg, while Asante Fenner is second with 9.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per outing. Sophomore forward Saafiq Muhammad rounds out the top three with 7.7 points and 3.9 rebounds.
SC State returns to action on Saturday (Feb.21) in a pivotal MEAC doubleheader with Maryland-Eastern Shore. Tipoff for the women is 4 p.m., with the men following immediately afterwards in a 6 p.m. start.
