Bulldogs Looking To Snap Losing Skid Against Longwood

ORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State (4-18, 0-9) men will be look to turn things around and snap their 16-game losing streak Monday, when they battle Longwood University(8-14) in a non-conference matchup at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
       In their last meeting Longwood University defeated SC State 92-81 in Farmville, Va. SC State is coming off a 73-60 setback to Savannah State on Saturday, while Longwood defeated Southern Virginia 103-84.
        Senior Brandon Riley leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 17.3 ppg, and 3.8 rpg. Junior point guard Khalif Toombs is second with 10.9 points and 4.3 per outing, while senior forward Omar  Sanders is the leader in rebounds with 7.5 per game and 10.9 points.
        The Racers have four players in double figures with Antwan Carter leading with the way with 18.6 ppg, and 9.1 rebounds. Jeremiah Bowman is second with 13.5 ppg, while Tristan Carey adds12.5 per outing. Martiz Washington chips in 10 points also for Longwood.
           SC State will return to action this weekend when travel to take on N.C. A&T State (Feb. 11) and North Carolina Central (Feb.13) in a pivotal MEAC showdown.
