BATTLE OF BORDERS: Bulldogs Face MEAC Rival N.C. A&T Aggies

GREENSBORO, NC- The South Carolina State Bulldogs (4-5, 3-3 MEAC) will be on the road this weekend to face border rival the Aggies of N. C. A&T (5-4, 3-3 MEAC) in a pivotal conference showdown Saturday at Aggie Stadium. Kickoff is 1:30 p.m.

SETTING THE SCENE: Last week the Bulldogs were IDLE .SC State is coming off a 41-23 routing of the Howard Bison at Dawson Stadium/Jeffries Field two weeks ago. Red-shirt quarterback Richard Cue had a record-setting day throwing for a career-high 419 yards and four touchdowns.
The Bulldog defense was spearheaded by sophomore defensive end Alex Glover and senior linebacker Cortney Ingram. Glover finished with 8 tackles, 4 TFl, and 3 sacks, while Ingram tallied a team-high 13 tackles on the day. Meanwhile, the Aggies of N.C. A&T posted a huge 16-3 victory over struggling FAMU on Saturday.

THE COACHES: SC STATE'S BUDDY POUGH (SC STATE '75) is in his 11^th season as head coach at his alma mater and owns and 86-38 overall record and a 67-19 MEAC. N.C A&T'S ROD BROADWAY is in his second season with the Aggies and his 10th overall. He is 10-10 as the head coach of the Aggies and 0-1 vs. SC State.
