SC State Looks For First Conference Win Against FAMU

Senior forward Omar Sanders leads the Bulldogs in rebounding with 7.6 per outing.
TALLAHASSEE, FL—The South Carolina State Bulldogs (4-13 overall, 0-4 MEAC) will be looking to snap an 11-game losing skid when they face MEAC foe Florida A&M in a pivotal conference showdown. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m., following the women's contest.
        The Bulldogs (4-13 overall, 0-4 MEAC) plagued by injuries throughout the season has their eyes on posting its first conference win of the season by knocking off the Rattlers of Florida A&M (3-15 overall, 1-2 MEAC).
       In their last outing, SC State suffered their fourth-straight conference loss dropping a tough 82-76 decision to Bethune-Cookman on Saturday.
        Senior guard Brandon Riley leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 17.4 ppg and 4.4 rpg, while junior point guard Khalif Toombs is second with 11.0 ppg, 3.3 apg. Senior forward Omar Sanders leads team in rebounding with 7.6 per outing, while chipping in 10.6 per contest.
         SC State will remain the in the sunshine state and return to action on Saturday when they travel to Savannah, GA to take on the scrappy Tigers of Savannah State in a 4 p.m. tip-off.
