NORFOLK, Va., August 18, 2011- The South Carolina State football team will make two appearances on ESPNU this fall, according to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) 2011 television football slate announced today (Aug. 18). A total of eight league matchups are scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN, ESPNU and ESPN Classic. The nationally televised games are a part of the MEAC's ongoing partnership with ESPN.
The Bulldogs two appearances will be at Bethune-Cookman Sept. 10 in Daytona Beach, Fla., and at home Oct. 22 against Florida A&M. Both airings are on Saturday and will be telecast on a tape-delayed basis at 10:30 p.m.
The 2011 television schedule kicks off with the MEAC/SWAC Challenge presented by Disney featuring Bethune-Cookman University and non-conference opponent Prairie View A&M University on Sunday, September 4. The game will air live beginning at noon ET on ESPN.
