SC State Looks To Snap Three-Game Losing Skid Against Gardner-Webb

BOILING SPRINGS, NC—The South Carolina State Bulldogs will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak, when they travel to take on Gardner-Webb in a 7 p.m. tip off.
Coach Tim Carter's Bulldogs (4-5 overall, 0-1 in the MEAC) after suffering a tough 82-67 conference opener to Norfolk State on Monday in Virginia.  Gardner-Webb (5-6) is coming off a two-game winning streak having posted wins over Winthrop 62-60 (12/3) and Alice Lloyd 87-57 (12/6/11).
       The Bulldogs is led in scoring by senior guard Brandon Riley with 22.8 ppg, 5.0 rbg, while junior point guard Khalif Toombs is second with 11.4 points per contest and junior guard Aaron Martin chips in 8.3 per outing. Senior forward Presano Bell leads the team in rebounding with 6.6 and 7.4 ppg.
        Max Landis leads Gardner-Webb with 12.0 ppg and Jason Dawson is second with 11.5 per game.  Mike Byron is the leader in rebounds with 5.5 and also adds 7.5 in scoring, along with Keith Hartley.
        SC State will return to action on next week when they travel to Pittsburgh, PA to take on the University in Pittsburgh  Dec. 17 in a non- conference matchup.  Tip off is set for 7p.m.
