SC State Women’s Basketball Begins Six-Game Road Swing

Knotts is averaging 13.5 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs

Orangeburg, S.C.—The SC State women's basketball team will begin a six-game road swing tomorrow, (Wednesday, Nov. 30), when they travel to Athens, Ga. to take on the University of Georgia.  The Lady Bulldogs will also open its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play during the road swing.

SC State heads into tomorrow's contest with a 2-2 overall record after defeating Charleston Southern, 68-65, in their last outing.  Juniors Tiara Knotts and Tiana Hemphill are leading the Lady Bulldogs in scoring and rebounding averaging 13.5 and 10.3, respectively.

After the contest with Georgia, SC State will face Hampton on Saturday, Dec. 3 in its 2011 MEAC opener.  The Lady Bulldogs will then face Norfolk State (Dec. 5) in a conference matchup and will have non-conference matchups with Winthrop (Dec. 10), University of South Carolina (Dec. 14) and Coastal Carolina (Dec. 18). SC State will return home on Monday, Dec. 19 when they host UNC-Asheville.
