Khalif Toombs tossed in 15 points and grabbed four rebounds, while JUCO transfer grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds and added seven points as SC State cruised to victory 68-56 over Allen University Tuesday night.
South Carolina State improves to 3-3 on the season, while Allen falls to 5-4 overall.

Rio Pitt with 2:28 left in the half extended SC State's lead to 10, 30-20. Toombs nailed four straight free-throws to close out the first-half and give SC State a 38-23 lead at halftime.

Joe Ikhinmwin with 11:11 left in the contest. A layup by Octavious Drake sparked a Yellow Jacket 12-0 run to cut the lead to six, 50-44 with 8:38 left. Porter's tip-in with 3:30 left gave SC State a 15 point lead, 64-59 and closed the door on Allen's comeback chances.
Despite 19 turnovers in the game it came down to free-throws being the deciding factor down the stretch as SC State hit 18-24 to seal a 68-56 victory over Allen University.
The Yellow Jackets was led in scoring by Terrell Demetrice with a game-high 29 points in the loss.
SC State will return to action on Saturday when they host N.C. Central in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
