A 2010 team captain and the leader of a linebacker corps that returns intact and is bolstered by a former starter back from injury...Will start at the “will” linebacker post and be the titular leader on an SC State defense that is expected to be one of the most dominant in the MEAC...Reaped several preseason honors, including first-team All-MEAC, Box-to-Row/BASN and Heritage Sports All-America accolades...Is one of the most talented players in the FCS at his position...A candidate for MEAC Defensive Player of the Year. 2009: Led the Bulldogs in total tackles with 82, including 55 unassisted...Also recorded five stops behind the line and registered four sacks and three forced fumbles...Was ranked among the top defensive players in the MEAC and went on to earn All-MEAC first team honors, All-State accolades by The (Columbia, SC) State newspaper and Orangeburg Touchdown Club and All-America recognition by the Sheridan Broadcasting Network and Heritage Sports. 2008:  Returned from a season-ending injury he sustained after the second game of the 2007 season…Was a solid backup, registering 25 total tackles, 14 of them unassisted, with two tackles for loss and a sack…Was also a standout on special teams. 2007: Sustained an early season injury that forced him to miss the team’s last nine contests…Was the starter at middle linebacker and coming off a freshman campaign in which he led the team in total tackles when injury occurred. 2006: Top newcomer on defense…Was the team leader in tackles with 57 total, 27 unassisted and 6.5 for loss…Led the Bulldogs in sacks with four sacks – most on the team --  for a loss of 10 yards…Saw action in all eleven contests. High School: Helped Rock Hill High to the 2004 Class 3-A state championship…Played in the prestigious North-South All-Star game, earning MVP honors on defense…Was All-Region in 2004 and 2005, All-State in 2005 and All-Area three seasons (2003-05)…Also lettered in track and wrestling.
