ORANGEBURG, SC – South Carolina State closed out its final practice of spring workouts, Thursday (April.7^th ) in a lively two-hour session in full gear at Oliver. C. Dawson Stadium.

The Bulldogs will culminate spring football drills Saturday (April. 9^th ) with its annual Garnet and Blue Spring Game beginning at 1 p.m. at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium. Admission is free.

The annual contest will match the SC State offense against the Bulldog defense, with the defense scoring using a special points system.

SC State will play an 11-game schedule in 2016. The Bulldogs open the campaign on Saturday, September. 3 when Pough's team battle FBS foe University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fla.

LIFT-A-BULLDOG KICKOFF RALLY                             
The Bulldogs will hold their 2016 Annual Lift-A-Bulldog Scholarship Fundraiser Seafood Extravaganza Friday, April 8 at the I.P. Stanback Museum, beginning from 6:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $65 per person. You can purchase tickets for the event at the SC State Ticket Office at 803-536-8579 or 800-298-9157. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the day of the event. All proceeds and donations will go to sponsor the summer school and the football scholarship program.
