ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The South Carolina State women's basketball team travels to Jacksonville, Fla. this weekend to take part in the University of North Florida Osprey Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
SC State (3-5) plays UNF at 3 p.m. on Saturday and then takes on Central Arkansas at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Saturday's game will be aired live on

The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a week-long break after falling 63-51 at Davidson College last Saturday. Junior guard
Bria Ratliff led the team with 13 points in that game. On the season, sophomore guard
Brittany Drumgoole is averaging a team-leading 11.1 points per game. Defensively, senior
Jasmine Coleman leads the way in rebounds (6.4) and blocks (1.1) per game.
UNF (4-7) posted a 60-51 win over Warner College on Wednesday afternoon. The Ospreys have two players averaging double figures in Claire Ioannidis and Sierra Sheppard who are scoring 13.7 and 12.7 points per game, respectively. Kadesia Johnson is the team's best rebounder with 8.6 boards per game.
Central Arkansas (7-1) is currently on a six-game winning streak heading into Saturday's tournament-opening game against Campbell University. The Sugar Bears defeated Central Baptist 70-37 on Tuesday night. Maggie Proffitt and Raquel Logan lead the team in scoring and rebounding with 13.0 points and 8.1 rebounds per game, respectively.
After this tournament, the Lady Bulldogs will have some time off for the holidays. They return to action on Dec. 30 when they play at Jacksonville University at 7 p.m.
