SC State's Kollock Earn MEAC Top Weekly Honors

NORFOLK, Va.,– South Carolina State's Adrian Kollock was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic (MEAC) Rookie of the Week, the conference annouced Monday.

Meanwhile, N.C. A&T's Tarik Cohen was selected as the MEAC Offensive Player of the Week.

Howard's Cameron Alston was named Defensive Player of the Week, while Howard's Joshua Matthews earned Offensive Lineman of the Week honors. N.C. Central's Sayyid Muhammad earned Special Teams Player of the Week accolades.

Kollock (QB, 6-2, 202, r-Fr., Spartanburg, S.C.) accounted for four touchdowns in the Bulldogs' win over Morgan State. He finished with 46 rushing yards on 10 carries and completed one of two passes with one touchdown.

Nick Addison (B-CU) collected three tackles, two breakups and picked off a pass in the Wildcats win over Hampton.

Darian Baker (B-CU) returned one kickoff 82 yards, falling short of the end zone, in the Wildcats win over Hampton.

Nick Belcher (SCSU) averaged 46.0 yards per punt on three attempts, with a long of 55 yards, against Morgan State.

Tristan Bellamy (SCSU) anchored the Bulldogs' offense that accounted for 442 offensive yards against Morgan State. Graded out at 91-percent of his assignments and tallied four pancake blocks.

Andre Clarke (NCCU) rushed for a game-high 93 yards on 20 carries with one touchdown against Norfolk State.

Michael Ducre (FAMU) led the Rattlers with eight solo tackles, one for a loss of two yards, and a forced fumble against Delaware State.

Brandon Flanagan (Howard) returned two punts for a total of 90 yards, including a career-best 72 yarder against Texas Southern.

Rolandan Finch (Grad) rushed for 90 yards on 18 carries with one touchdown against N.C. Central and became the first Spartan running back since 2010 to top the 1,000 yard rushing mark.

D'Vonte Grant (NCAT) collected 11 tackles, eight solo, with two breakups against Savannah State.

Trevin Huff (B-CU) helped the Wildcats rush for a season-best 475 yards against Hampton. Hugg graded out at 85-percent of his assignments, collected two pancake blocks and paved the way for 557 yards of total offense in the win.

Nathan Isles (NCAT) posted six pancake blocks and graded out at 91-percent as he helped N.C. A&T account for 464 total offensive yards.

Isidore Jackson (B-CU) rushed nine times for 102 yards in the Wildcat's win over Hampton.

Michael Jones (B-CU) rushed for a season-best 72 yards on 10 carries, including a 30-yard carry for a touchdown against Hampton.

Tyler McDonald (SCSU) caught five passes for 114 yards with one touchdown in the Bulldogs' 38-3 win over Morgan State.

Greg McGhee (Howard) completed 14-of-29 passes for two touchdowns and rushed for 68 yards on 12 carries in a non-conference game against Texas Southern.

C.J Moore (NCCU) collected 12 tackles, four solo, with one interception in the end zone to prevent a touchdown. On special teams he blocked a field goal and returned it 70-yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter against Norfolk State.

Cory Murphy (DSU) completed 10-of-15 passes for 141 yards with two touchdowns against Florida A&M.

Anthony Philyaw (Howard) rushed for 111 yards on 21 carries and scored two touchdowns against Texas Southern.

Carson Royal (FAMU) completed 18 passes in 24 attempts for 277 yards with three touchdowns in his first collegiate start for the Rattlers.

Cory Scott (DSU) recovered a fumble and returned it 55 yards for a touchdown, tallied five solo tackles and picked off a pass to seal the win against Florida A&M.

Joe Thomas (SCSU) recorded 10 tackles, seven solo, with four for a loss of 20 yards, including one sack for a 10-yard loss.

Lynden Trail (NSU) collected a season-high 11 tackles, four solo, with one for a loss of four yards including a sack and blocked a field goal in the third quarter against N.C. Central.

Brandon Walker (NSU) recorded his first career interception and finished with two tackles and one break up against N.C. Central.

Mitchell Ward (DSU) averaged 54.4 kickoff yards on five attempts, nailed a 28-yard field goal and hit 2-of-2 extra point attempts in the Hornet's 29-21 win over Florida A&M.
