ORANGEBURG, SC – Members of the 2012 SC State football team will be among those persons honored Saturday (Feb. 2) during the 11th annual Orangeburg Touchdown Club (OTC) banquet at The Cinema. A buffet dinner begins at 6 p.m., followed by the program at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $30 each for the general public and $15 for Touchdown Club members.
Bulldog players will receive their letters, superlative awards and postseason accolades during the event, which will feature James Mitchell, Director of Football Development at Duke University, as guest speaker.
Mitchell is in his fourth season with the Blue Devil football program. The Central Arkansas graduate previously served six seasons at the University of Tennessee as team chaplain for the football and men's and women's basketball teams. Prior to his stint with the Volunteers, Mitchell served as National Director for Pro Athletes Outreach where he worked with both the National Football League and Major League Baseball.
An All-Area high school football team will be also recognized at the banquet which will also include the presentation of appreciation awards and scholarships.
