Newcomer Duren Earns MEAC Post Season Honors

Duren named to the 2012 MEAC All-Rookie Team

Norfolk, Va.—SC State's junior guard Cabriel Duren has earned 2011 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) postseason honors, as announced by the conference office Sunday (March 4). Duren, who is also a member of the SC State women's golf team, has been named to the 2012 MEAC All-Rookie Team.

Duren finished the regular season ranked in top 15 in three categories of the MEAC. In her first season with the Lady Bulldogs she is currently ranked first on the team in assists (3.9 apg) and fourth in scoring (8.0 ppg).

SC State will open the 2012 MEAC Tournament Monday (March 5) against Delaware State at 9 p.m.
