ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State men's and women's basketball teams win up a four-game Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference home stand Monday when they host Norfolk State in a league doubleheader that gets underway at 5:30 p.m. with the women's game at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. The men's contest will follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Both the Lady Bulldogs of Coach Doug Robertson and Coach Tim Carter's Bulldogs are coming off losses on Saturday to MEAC rival North Carolina A&T.
The SC State women fell 67-60 to the Lady Aggies in dropping their fifth straight and their 10th in 11 outings to dip to 5-12 and 0-5 in the MEAC. The Norfolk State women, meanwhile, snapped a six-game losing streak Saturday with a 60-56 triumph at Winston-Salem State. The Lady Spartans bring a 3-11 overall mark into the game, but like the Lady Bulldogs, have yet to win an MEAC contest in five outings. One of the teams will get their first MEAC victory Monday.
On the men's side, SC State dropped a 67-58 decision to the Aggies Saturday to fall to 8-8 overall and 2-3 in the MEAC. The Bulldogs have lost two of three games during their four-game league home stand that wraps up Monday against the Spartans.
Norfolk State has dropped two straight, including an 82-70 setback to Winston-Salem Saturday. The Spartans enter Monday's game at 3-14 overall and 2-3 in the MEAC.
