ORANGEBURG, SC – South Carolina State, Monday, remained No.1 in both Black College polls, however, despite a 24-3 road win over Bethune-Cookman, the Bulldogs dropped slightly in two of the three Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) rankings.
Coach Buddy Pough's team sits atop both the Sheridan Broadcasting Network and BASN BoxtoRow.com polls that rank HBCUs, but the Bulldogs fell two places to No.17 in the AnyGivenSaturday rankings, dropped one spot to No. 16 in the FCS Coaches poll and remained No.15 in The Sports Network rankings.
SC State, off to a 2-0 (1-0 MEAC) start, is idle this week. The Bulldogs resume their schedule Sept. 26 when they host Winston-Salem State in a 6 p.m. contest at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium.
