ORANGEBURG, SC— The South Carolina State men's and women's basketball teams will be looking to get back on the winning track when they host Norfolk State Saturday in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic showdown at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

Coach Tim Carter and the Bulldogs (6-10, 1-3 MEAC) suffered a tough conference loss to Howard on Monday 64-65, while the Lady Bulldogs were defeated by the Lady Bison 64-46.
SC State is led in scoring by senior forward/center Jason Johnson with 14.6 ppg, and 7.6 rpg, while junior guard/forward Jason Flagler is second in scoring with 13.2 ppg, and 5.3 rpg.

The Lady Bulldogs are led by senior center Marie Reid with 16.4 ppg and 5.8 rpg, while Sophila Hipps is second in scoring with 14.7 ppg and grabbing 4.2 rebounds per game.
The Marching 101 Drum Line will perform at half-time of the men's game. Prior to the game, the S.T.A.T.E. Club will sponsor a tailgate party from 11:45 am-1:45 p.m. on the field behind Staley Hall. Wear your bulldog gear and your meal will be free.
If there is rain or other inclement weather the tailgate party will be moved to S-H-M Dance Studio.
All admission free for SC State Students with School ID. Others are $8 reserve, $5 general admission and $3 for youth 17 and under and visiting college students with proper id.
